During a period of seven weeks in my second year of Communication & Multimedia Design, an editorial team was formed of eight students who were responsible for creating a magazine. During the first four weeks of the semester, I learned a lot of theory about writing articles and visualising a (online) magazine. In week five, six and seven we had to publish a hard copy magazine on a weekly basis. For that reason, it was important to have a cross-media platform. The theme of the magazine was based on ‘Street style’ and every edition had to be incorporated into this theme.

My roles

Pilot issue: visual design

First issue: visual design

Second issue: writing articles

Third issue: content (photographs)

The first issue of Raw x Urban can be seen below. In the first issue, I selected the typography and the layout of the articles and photographs. On top of that, I have made the photographs of the article about 'Off White'.
